Terms of entry

Competition entries

All realized projects, which assign to the following categories and are completed after 30th June 2017 can be handed in.
A maximum of three projects per entrant may be submitted in one or more categories.

Eligibility

The competition is open to architects, interior designers and design professionals. Building owners and product manufacturers may also submit entries, provided they indicate the names of the architects or interior designers responsible for the project in question.

Categories

The AIT- Award is divided in different categories: all types of architectural projects and interior spaces can be submitted. An internationally renowned jury of architects and interior designers will be awarding the best project in each of the categories.

Documents to be submitted

The following documentation must be submitted in English or German.

  • The filled out registration application form (= Declaration of authorship) which you can find here download. Please send copies in advance, to reach us not later than 10th December 2019.
  • One display board in A0 format (84,1 x 118,9cm, portrait format) per project, with all the plans, elevations, cross-sections, detail drawings and photographs necessary for visualizing and understanding the project. Please download the layout for the display board. The plans have to be mounted on a 10 mm foam board. To avoid packaging and transport costs we highly recommend to print the boards at a print shop in Hamburg. The contact will be send with the confirmation of registration.
  • An explanatory report (one A4 page, in English or German) as description of the project. The report should describe the underlying design thinking, the spatial concept and information about the use of materials. If the concept fulfils guidelines of sustainability, a brief statement is requested.

All documents are to be delivered to the promoter free of charge. They become the property of AIT, will not be returned and must be usable free of charge for the publicity work of the promoter (exhibition, documentation, publications, internet, press photos, etc.). In particular, photos of the submitted projects and portrait images of the authors of the draft are to be provided free of charge for the purpose of publication (special issue of the AIT).
