Jury meeting
A total of 877 projects from 47 countries had been submitted for the AIT-Award 2020 | Best in Interior and Architecture. They competed against each other in 14 different categories: Living single?family, Housing multi?family, Hotel, Restaurant, Retail/Trade fair design, Office/Administrations, Health/Care, Sports/Leisure, Public Buildings/Culture, Education, Production/Commercial and Newcomer as well as the special categories Mixed?Use and Social Design/Participatory architecture.
In a closed session in St. Katharinen church on 23rd and 24th January 2020 in Hamburg, the jury selected the 10 to 15 best projects in each category during the first two appraisal tours. In the third round, these entries were discussed again. Finally, the jury determined the 83 projects which received awards or special mentions.
The finalists of the AIT-Award 2020 | Best in Interior and Architecture are from Austria, Belgium, Brasil, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Slowenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and the US.
