In fünf konzentrischen Kreisen hängen 1.600 Me ter Metallket ten des spa-
nischen Unter neh mens Kriskadecor schlaufenförmig herab.
K itzbühel attracts hikers and skiers from all over the world. At the
same time, the chic Austrian municipality is considered to be a true
shopping paradise: The offers range from traditional craftsmanship to
haute couture. Since recently, the Allude cashmere luxury label is also
one of the brands represented in Kitzbühel. The new store extends over
130 square metres on two floors and was designed by Regina Dahmen-
Ingenhoven. The Düsseldorf architect created a clear, bright atmosphere
with just a few but high-quality materials and where the focus is on the
products. Glass, tones of white and light beige as well as wood accents
characterize the design. The showpiece on the ground floor is a chain of
lights installation which was integrated into the ceiling and interprets the
noble theme of the knitwear: From the ceiling, 1,600 meters of metal
chains from the Spanish Kriskadecor company are suspended in the form
of loops and as five concentric circles. They remind of knitwear stitches
and, at the same time – sparkling in silver – of a gigantic chandelier. Yet
the object also serves for product presentation: The noble cashmere items
can be put onto hangers inserted into the chains so that they appear to

a reference for Kriskadecor – an international brand whose history began
in 1926 with the design for a machine to produce iron chains.
Imposant wirkt die Deckeninstallation aus Metallketten. • The ceiling installation of metal chains looks impressive. www.kriskadecor.com • www.drdi.de
