Effektvoll inszeniert: das Akustikelement Snooze • Effectively: the Snooze acoustic element

R eduktion in Perfektion – mit nur wenigen Schlüsselobjekten schufen
die Mailänder Architekten Calvi Brambilla auf dem diesjährigen
Salone del Mobile eine prägnante und dennoch reduzierte Aus stel lungs-
welt für den italienischen Möbelhersteller Pedrali. Vom übrigen Messe -
getümmel durch türkisfarbene, quadratisch gerasterte Außen wände abge-
schirmt, öffnete sich innen ein ebenso türkises Tep pich meer auf dem
Ausstellungsinseln zu schwimmen schienen. Teil weise eingefasst waren
sie ge mäß dem Motto Solid Geometry rund oder polygonal gestaltet. Jede
Präsentationsbucht zeigte ein Produkt oder eine Produkt gruppe in einer
Szene, die Hinweise auf den entsprechenden Einsatz ort gab. Da bei arbei-
teten Calvi Brambilla sehr reduziert: Durch wenige, aber effektvolle Details
war sofort zu erkennen, für welche Anwendung das jeweilige Produkt ent-
worfen wurde. So setzt eine monochrom orangefarbene Schlag zeug -
nachbildung die Akustik ele men te Snooze wirkungsvoll in Szene, an ande-
rer Stelle lässt eine Poolinszenierung mit leuchtend gelber Ein stiegs leiter
und blauen Palmen die Außenmöbelkollektion Riva wirken. Letzteres
Ensem ble war der reduzierten Symbolik des britischen Pop-Art-Künstlers
David Hockney und seinem Bild „A Bigger Splash“ entlehnt. Calvi Brambil-
la setzten mit diesem Messe stand die Gestaltungs sprache des Pedrali-
Standes auf der Kölner Orgatec 2016 fort. Bereits dort deutete eine mit
zahlreichen Uhren dekorierte Box auf die Funktion des ausgestellten
Wartemöbels hin – eine simple Inszenierung mit Augenzwinkern. ds

Außenmöbelkollektion Reva, präsentiert in einer Pool-Szene à la Hockney • Shown in a pool scene à la Hockney inimalistic in perfection – at this year’s Salone del Mobile the
designed a striking yet minimalistic exhibition world for the Italian furni-
ture manufacturer Pedrali. Screened from the rest of the exhibition hustle
and bustle with turquoise, square-gridded outer walls, on the inside a
likewise turquoise sea of carpeting opened on which the exhibition
islands appeared to swim. True to the Solid Geometry motto, some were
bordered and designed to be circular or polygonal. Each presentation
bay showed a product or a product group in a scene which gave a hint
to where the product might be used. In doing so, Calvi Brambilla worked
in a very minimalist way: Due to just a few but effective details, it was
immediately clear for which use the specific product had been designed.
Thus a monochrome orange reproduction of drums impressively focused
on Snooze acoustic elements; in a different spot, a pool scene with a
bright yellow ladder and blue palm trees surrounded the Riva collection
of outdoor furniture. The latter ensemble was borrowed from the mini-
malist symbolism of the British Pop Art representative David Hockney
