MESSESTAND IN KÖLN

inspirieren lassen.

appealing the way it feels can also be noticed at the trade fairs. Whereas,
for instance, until recently the Carpet Concept exhibition stands were still
designed in purist white, now more muted shades and a diversity of mate-
rials communicate sensuality as to colours and materials. For the fair pre-
sentation of the flooring manufacturer from Bielefeld, the Düsseldorf
Raumkontor office of interior design therefore developed a new concept
where the visitors are able to actively and tactilely experience the carpet
world: The heart of the stand is a material lab equipped with numerous
samples of materials and offering the possibility to compose atmospheric
collages with the carpet collections. Those who, in contrast, are looking for
more concrete inspiration can get it from the extensive, already combined
arrangements in the lab area or even from small sets of rooms which
show office worlds customized for various types of users. In a clearly more
abstract way, the topic of carpeting was taken up for the wall coverings.

light, graphic variety and allusions to the production process.
