R und elf Millionen Hektar sind in Deutschland von Wäldern bedeckt.
Diese zu erhalten ist das Ziel der Schutzge meinschaft Deutscher
Wald. Der Landesverband der Schutzgemeinschaft in Hamburg realisierte
nun gemeinsam mit dem Studio Andreas Heller im Bezirk Wilhelmsburg
ein Multifunktionsgebäude, das nicht nur als neuer Verbandssitz genutzt
wird, sondern ebenso einem Tagungsbereich, dem Res taurant „Wilhelms
im Wälderhaus“ sowie dem „Raphael Hotel Wäl der haus“ und dem Aus -
stellungsbereich „Science Center Wald“ Platz bietet. Da bei sind die unte-
ren beiden Geschosse in Stahlbeton und die oberen drei Hotel-Geschosse
in Massivholz ausgeführt. Die Fassade er hielt ei ne durchgänige Lärchen -
holzverkleidung und das Flachdach wurde thematisch passend mit Bäu -
men und Sträuchern bepflanzt. Auch im Innen aus bau dreht sich alles um
das Thema Wald. So sind Festeinbauten, Bo den beläge und auch Kunst -
objekte aus Holz gefertigt und fügen sich mit schlich ten Formen elegant
in die Gebäudestruktur ein. Ebenso formschön wie funktional ist die
Band technik von Simons werk. Das schlichte Band der Produktmarke
Variant VX steht sichtbar aus dem Türfalz hervor und ermöglicht das
Über schla gen der Tür bis zu 180 Grad. Die zuverlässige 3-D-Verstell technik
erleichtert darüber hinaus das Justieren schwerer, großformatiger Tür -
blätter und garantiert einen dauerhaft hohen Bedienkomfort. Sämt liche
Türen fügen sich damit nahtlos in das Raumkonzept ein und werden zum
maßgebenden Bestandteil einer bewussten Raumdetaillierung. hs

The two lower storeys were constructed of reinforced concrete and the
three upper hotel levels of solid wood. The façade has consistent larch-
wood panelling and the flat roof was planted with trees and bushes mat-
ching the theme. For the interior furnishing as well, everything is about
the topic of forests. Thus fixed installations, floor coverings and also
objects of art are made of wood and, with their unobtrusive forms, ele-
gantly fit into the building structure. Just as shapely as functional is the
hinge technology by Simonswerk. The simple hinge from the Variant VX
product brand projects visible from the door rebate and makes it possi-
ble to open the door up to a 180 degree angle. The reliable 3D adjust-
ment technology furthermore makes it easier to adjust heavier, large-for-
mat door leaves and guarantees durably high operating comfort. All the
doors thus fit seamlessly into the spatial concept and become a deter-
mining element of deliberate details in the room.
