Das Gästehaus des Hotels umfasst 64 Zimmer. • The hotel’s guesthouse has 64 rooms.

S eit mehr als fünfzig Jahren gibt es den Familienbetrieb „Zur Quelle“
in Köln-Wahnheide. Von Helga und Josef Jaumann 1964 als Gaststätte
vor den Toren der Luftwaffenkaserne Wahn eröffnet, wurde das Haus ab
1969 mit zunächst sieben Gästezimmern über die Jahrzehnte auf schließ-
lich mehr als 120 Zimmer ausgebaut. Im Jahr 2005 übernahmen Kerstin
und Frank Jaumann den Betrieb. Neben der familiären Atmosphäre legen
sie Wert auf eine Einrichtung, die Design und Funktionalität vereint – ein
Anspruch, der in den 64 Zimmern des Gästehauses offensichtlich wird.
Nach der Komplettrenovierung wurden sie zum Großteil mit Möbeln der
Dauphin HumanDesign Group ausgestattet. Die Hauptrolle spielt dabei
das flexible Tragrohr möbelsystem „modul space“ von Bosse, mit dem die
Gästezimmer von der Garderobe über Tische, Schrank- und Wandmöbel,
stehende oder hängende Nachttische bis hin zur Bettkonstruktion voll-
ständig eingerichtet werden können. Das wandlungsfähige System um -
fasst auch Möbelelemente mit Elektrifizierung sowie integrierter Beleuch -
tung. Ein prägnanter Rahmen schützt die Möbel vor Beschädigungen.
Falls dennoch störende Gebrauchsspuren entstehen, können die einzel-
nen Möbelfronten und Paneele schnell und unkompliziert ausgetauscht
werden. Kombiniert wird das robuste Möbelsystem mit eleganten und
komfortablen Sitzmöbeln wie dem Designstuhl „Little Perillo“ von Züco.
In Kürze sollen auch die aktuellen Aus- und Umbauten am Hotel durch
das ortsansässige Architekturbüro Köneke fertiggestellt sein. vc

the building with initially seven guest rooms was expanded over the
decades. In 2005, Kerstin and Frank Jaumann took over the hotel. In addi-
tion to the family-like atmosphere, they attach importance to the furnis-
hing combining design and functionality – a standard which becomes
manifest in the 64 rooms of the guest house. After the total renovation,
they were for the major part equipped with furniture by the Dauphin
HumanDesign Group. A main role in this plays the flexible “modul space”
tubular-furniture system by Bosse which made it possible to completely
furnish the guest rooms from the coat rack to tables, closets and wall fur-
niture, stand-alone or wall-mounted bedside table all the way to the bed
construction. The versatile system also includes furniture elements such
as electrification as well as integrated lighting. A striking frame protects
the furniture against damage. Should signs of wear appear all the same,
the individual furniture fronts and panels can quickly and easily be repla-
ced. The robust furniture system is combined with elegant and comforta-
ble seating furniture such as the Little Perillo designer chair by Züco.
Before long, the current expansion- and conversion work on the hotel by
the local Köneke architectural office should also be completed.
