ting the writing-desk surface, in addition to the diffusely shining LED retrofit luminaire,
it is equipped with a reflector lamp as well. At both sides of the bed is a pivoting bronze
reading lamp which can be individually adjusted and operated right from the bed.
Immersing oneself in a feel-good world: Via the staircase of the Caballerizas, the hotel
guests reach the lower level. Wall-mounted bronze luminaires with direct and indirect
light show them the way. Thanks to an opening in the wall, already from the reception
area one has a view of the indoor pool. Right above the pool basin is a skylight opening
which lets ample vital daylight penetrate the underground room. In addition, the pool
area as well as the reception area has playfully arranged pendant luminaires which are
suspended as if dancing at varying heights. The body of the specifically designed lumi-
naires is made of hand-blown glass and burnished bronze. Particularly in the evening,
the interplay with the pool surface creates attractive light effects. The pool itself has late-
rally built-in underwater lamps which add shimmering light to the water. Comfortable
privacy in the treatment- and relaxation rooms: Relaxation rooms are arranged around
the indoor pool and open towards two patios. A particular feature of the relaxation
rooms are the so-called Guadamecies, traditional large-format wall panels effectively
emphasized with surface-mounted ceiling luminaires with golden reflectors. At the
loungers, there is structuring lighting thanks to small, portable diffuse-light objects with
wooden frames and leather carrying straps. Magical reflections in the outdoor area: In
the hearts of the two patios are shallow water basins. These reflecting pools are delibe-
rately not emphasized with light so they reflect the architecture and the vegetation as
well as the surrounding light in a lively way. In the southern patio, a hedge surrounds
the water basin. It is softly illuminated at night with in-ground luminaires. In the nort-
hern patio, in contrast, the wall sections of the adjacent façades are brought out by
recessed ground luminaires. The trees of the inner courtyard are visible as silhouettes
against the bright surfaces and thus they are also in a way present at night. Strolling
under the open sky in an atmospheric ambiance: In general, the outdoor areas have litt-
le lighting added at night since the rural location of the hotel and the spa produce high
sensitivity for light pollution. Soft light primarily shines down from openings in the buil-
dings and the grounds. The lighting mood of the hotel presents itself as hospitable as
