Klare geometrische Formen der Sitzmöbel • Seating furniture with clear geometrical shapes

D as 4-Sterne-Hotel Arcadia Blue kann nicht nur mit seiner erstklas -
si gen Lage mit Blick über den Bosporus und auf die Hagia Sophia
punk ten. Frisch saniert, verfügt das Hotel mit 54 Zimmern über eine
Band brei te von Standard- über behindertengerechte Zimmer bis hin zu
Sui ten. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Mö bel her steller Nurus hat das
ortsansässige Architekturbüro Norm Archi tects die Innen räu me vom
Eingangsbereich bis zu den privaten Hotel zimmern zeit gemäß umge-
staltet. Die gewählte Kombination aus Ma terialien und Far ben so wie
die fein darauf abgestimmte Möblierung vermitteln zu gleich eine war -
me Atmosphäre wie auch Eleganz und Wer tig keit. Grauer Mar mor wird
ergänzt durch Wandelemente und Bodenbeläge aus Wal nuss holz. Die
Materialgestaltung zieht sich durch die halböffentlichen Bereichen wie
Lobby, Lounge und Res taurant ebenso wie durch die privaten Bereiche
der Schlafzimmer und Bäder. Dank der breit gefächerten Pro dukt pa -
lette des Fa mi li en un ter neh mens Nu rus findet sich auch beim Mö blie -
rungs konzept eine einheitliche Hand schrift, wobei sich die pastelligen
Farben der Sitzmöbel unaufdringlich in die Umgebung einfügen.
Dennoch nehmen Norm Architects eine dif fe ren zierte Behandlung der
unterschiedlichen Zonen vor: Wäh rend in den repräsentativen Be rei -
chen die klaren geometrischen Formen der Pro dukt linien Greta und
Tara dominieren, vermitteln in den Ho tel zim mern die weicheren For -
men von Tan und Juna Komfort und Ent span nung. kb

Sophia. The recently refurbished hotel provides 54 rooms, which
cover a wide range of categories from standard to disabled-friendly to
suites. In collaboration with furniture manufacturer Nurus, local
architecture firm Norm Architects gave the interiors from the entrance
to the private hotel rooms a new contemporary design. The chosen
combination of materials and colours as well as the finely coordina-
ted furnishing convey a warm atmosphere as well as elegance and
value. Grey marble is complemented with wall elements and floor
coverings made of walnut wood. The material concept was consi-
stently applied in the semi-public areas like lobby, lounge and restau-
rant as well as in the private areas of bedrooms and baths. Thanks to
the broad range of products produced by the family-run company
Nurus, the furnishing concept is also characterised by a uniform style.
Nonetheless, Norm Architects treated the individual zones with a dif-
ferentiated approach: the clear geometrical shapes of the product
lines Greta and Tara prevail in the prestigious areas, while the gentle
shapes of Tan and Juna convey comfort and relaxation in the hotel
rooms. The pastel shades of seating furniture blend in with their sur-
rounding and ensure an inviting character.
