NACHWUCHS 2018
HUGO-HÄRING-NACHWUCHSPREIS GEHT AN ZWEI PROJEKTE DER UNIVERSITÄT STUTTGART
Der große Raum steht als kommunikativer Treffpunkt offen, während der kleinere als Lernraum dem Rückzug dient. • The large room is open as a communicative meeting place, while the smaller one serves as a retreat for learning.
„Das Herz der Stadt – Gesellschaftliche Vielfalt gestalten“. So lautet das
Motto des Hugo-Häring-Nachwuchspreises 2018, den der BDA-Lan des -
verband Baden-Württemberg an zwei Studentengruppen verlieh: Das
realisierte Projekt „Begegnungsraum“ schafft mitten in Stuttgart einen
Treffpunkt für Einheimische und Geflüchtete. „Breathing Monument“
dagegen erweckt ein längst vergessenes Überwerfungsbauwerk am
Stuttgarter Hauptbahnhof zu neuem Leben. Beide Studentengruppen
berichten nachfolgend über ihre Entwürfe.
"The Heart of the City - Shaping Social Diversity" is the motto of the
Hugo Haring Young Talent Award 2018, which the BDA State
Association of Baden-Württemberg awarded to two student groups:
the implemented project "Begegnungsraum" creates a meeting place
for locals and refugees in the centre of Stuttgart. "Breathing
Monument", on the other hand, breathes new life into a long-forgot-
ten flyover structure at Stuttgart's main station. Here, both student
groups report on their concept.
