Mit diesen handgefertigten Keramikmodulen lassen sich Trennwände bilden. Der Name
Castello kommt nicht von ungefähr. Denn die spanischen Industriedesigner Alberto Bejer-
ano and Patxi Cotarelo, die vor mehr als 20 Jahren ihr Studio Dsignio gründeten, ließen
sich von Schießscharten mittelalterlicher Burgen inspirieren. Die Module sind 20,5 auf
20,5 Zentimeter groß und knapp sieben Zentimeter tief. Durch die außermittig sitzende
Öffnung ergeben sich Laibungen mit unterschiedlichen Winkeln. Die einzelnen Module
lassen sich in acht verschiedenen Varianten positionieren, sodass die Öffnungen immer
an anderer Stelle sitzen. Auf Wunsch ergibt sich so eine abwechslungsreiche Matrix. Inter-
essant und äußerst lebendig ist außerdem das Licht- und Schattenspiel, welches Castello
sowohl in den Modulen selbst als auch auf dahinter liegenden Flächen erzeugt. Die Full-
Body-Keramik von Harmony wird in einem gedeckten Weiß, einem hellen Grau sowie
einem Erdton gefertigt und eignet sich, weil sie frostbeständig ist, auch für draußen.

Partitions can easily and attractively be created with these handmade ceramic modu-
les which are produced Harmony. The name Castello is no coincidence. The Spanish
industrial designers Alberto Bejerano and Patxi Cotarelo, who founded their studio
Dsignio more than 20 years ago, had taken their inspiration from the loopholes found
in medieval castles. The modules have a surface measuring 20.5 by 20.5 centimetres
and a depth of just under 7 centimetres. The off-centre opening creates reveals with
different angles. The individual modules can be positioned in eight different ways
so that the openings are then always in a different place. If desired, this results in a
varied matrix. Another interesting and extremely lively feature is the play of light and
shadow that Castello creates both in the modules themselves and on surfaces behind
them. The full-body ceramic is produced in a muted white, a light grey and an earth
tone and, because it is frost-resistant, is also suitable for outdoors.
