Die Kolonnaden des Petersplatzes und das Kolosseum
sind aus römischem Travertin gefertigt. Noch heute sind
die aus diesem Kalkstein errichteten großen Bauwerke
der Antike in der italienischen Hauptstadt präsent. Casal-
grande Padana hat mit Pietra Tiburtina eine Feinsteinzeug-
kollektion geschaffen, die als Wand- und Bodenbelag in
großen zeitgenössischen Bauprojekten wie Museen, Hotels
oder Malls großflächig zum Einsatz kommen kann. Vier
Farbtöne sowie zwei Optiken — analog zum Steinschnitt
mit oder gegen den Schichtverlauf – interpretieren das Ori-
ginal. Eine davon ist Campidoglio, maximal 120 auf 278
Zentimeter groß und links im Bild zu sehen.
The colonnades of St. Peter’s Square and the Colos-
seum are made of Roman travertine. Even today, the
great buildings of antiquity made of this limestone are
still present in the Italian capital. With Pietra Tiburtina,
Casalgrande Padana has created a porcelain-stoneware
collection that can be used as wall and floor covering
in large contemporary building projects such as muse-
ums, hotels or malls. Four colour shades as well as
two looks – analogous to the stone cut with or against
the course of the layers – interpret the original. One of
them is Campidoglio, measuring a maximum of 120 by
278 centimetres and shown on the left in the picture.
