Die 1967 von Hans Luder geplante Turn- und Schwimmhalle der
Schulanlage Vogelsang in Basel wurde rund 55 Jahre nach ihrer
Entstehung durch MET Architects generalsaniert. Die hochwertige
Architekturensemble versprüht noch immer den Geist seiner Ent-
stehungszeit und wirkt noch heute ebenso zeitlos wie zeitgemäß.
Roula Moharram und Thomas Tahlhofer erklären, worin ihre Auf-
gabe bestand und wie sie das imposante Relikt aus Beton und
Holz für eine sportliche Zukunft ertüchtigt haben.
The gymnasium and indoor swimming pool at the Vogelsang
school complex in Basel, designed by Hans Luder in 1967, was tho-
roughly renovated by MET Architects some 55 years after its com-
pletion. The high-quality architectural ensemble still exudes the
spirit of the time it was built and still looks as timeless as it appe-
ars contemporary. Roula Moharram and Thomas Tahlhofer ex-
plain the scope of their task and how they upgraded the imposing
relic made of concrete and wood for a sporting future.
