Was Tina Kammer und Andrea Herold von InteriorPark vorfanden,
war nicht viel mehr als ein Schutthaufen, allerdings ein Schutt hau -
fen mit Bestandsschutz! Das machte die Arbeiten einerseits zu ei nem
komplizierten und langwierigen Unterfangen, andererseits wä re ein
reiner Neubau an dieser bereits hoch verdichteten Stelle im Stutt gar -
ter Sü den baurechtlich unmöglich gewesen. So entstand im Er geb nis
ein individuelles und konsequent nachhaltig geplantes Wohn-
En semble, in dem sich Alt und Neu ge schickt verzahnen.
What Tina Kammer and Andrea Herold of InteriorPark were confron-
ted with was not much more than a pile of rubble, a listed pile of rub-
ble! On the one hand, this made the project a complicated and pro-
tracted endeavour while – on the other hand – for reasons of building
law, a simple new building would have been impossible in this alrea-
dy highly densified location in the south of Stuttgart. This resulted in
an individual residential ensemble which was consistently planned to
be sustainable and where the old and the new skilfully intermesh.
