GUGA´S THEATRE

Studierende aus Düsseldorf, Aachen und Atlanta haben gemeinsam das neue Guga S´Thebe Theatre in Südafrika entworfen und realisiert

Tech Atlanta das Gug a S´Thebe Theatre in L anga entworfen und in
Zu sammenarbeit mit dem Bür o C S Studio Architects g ebaut. D as
Projekt geht auf die AIT-Initiative zurück, welche seit 2011 mit Firmen
und Architekten die Finanzierung für die Erweiterung gesorgt hat. Das
Projekt wurde mit dem AIT-Award als bester Newcomer ausgezeich-
net und bekam den Sonderpreis „Special best worldwide prize“.

Learn together – build together: With this motto, students of PBSA
Düsseldorf, RWTH Aachen and Geor gia Tech Atlanta universities
designed the Guga S’Thebe Theatre in Langa and built it in coope-
ration with the CS Studio Architects. The project is the result of the
AIT initiative in which, since 2011 the funds for the extension of the
cultural centre had been r aised. In Mar ch, the pr oject was given
the AIT Award as the best newc omer and the jury awarded it the
“Special best worldwide prize”.
