Phalt Architects have transferred the homeland style of the existing boathouse from 1919 to a new building for the Solothurn Rowing Club

Helles Fichtenholz, schlichte Industrieleuchten und viel Tageslicht bringen Atmosphäre ins gesamten Bootshaus. • Bright spruce wood, plain industrial luminaires and plenty of daylight create an atmosphere throughout the boathouse.

Dank eines intelligenten Schachzugs konnten phalt Architekten das
marode Clubhaus des Solothurner Ruderclubs direkt am Ufer der
Aare trotz seiner Lage in einer baurechtlich schwierigen Zone neu
errichten. Während der Heimatstil des Vorgängerbaus von 1919
außen in zeitgemäßer Form zitiert wurde, hat das Innere nichts
mehr mit den vorgefundenen, stark verbauten Räumen zu tun.
Helles Fichten holz bestimmt vom Bootslager über den Clubraum
bis hin zum Umkleide- und Fitnessbereich das Bild.

Thanks to an intelligent move, phalt Architekten was able to rebuild
the dilapidated clubhouse of the Solothurn Rowing Club directly on
the banks of the Aare, despite its location in a legally difficult buil-
ding zone. While the homeland style of the predecessor building
dating from 1919 was cited in a contemporary form on the outside,
the interior has nothing to do with the found, badly built rooms.
Bright spruce wood determines the overall appearance, from the
boathouse and the club room to the changing room and fitness area.
