Von Marianne Tuxen für die Restaurierung der Pompe-
ji-Halle in der Carlsberg Academy in Kopenhagen ent-
worfen, ist die MT221 Tulip eine klassisch-elegante Pen-
delleuchte mit zeitloser Ästhetik. Der an die Form einer
Tulpe erinnernde Leuchtenschirm ist aus drei Lagen
mundgeblasenem, weißem Opalglas mit Glanz gefertigt
und zeugt von einem hohen Maß an Handwerkskunst.
MT221 Tulip gewährt eine gleichmäßige, blendfreie Umge-
bungsbeleuchtung, während die kleine Öffnung für einen
direkten Lichtkegel in Richtung Boden sorgt. Die massive
Aufhängung aus gebürstetem Messing verschmilzt auf har-
monische Weise mit dem Schirm und sorgt für eine cleane
und dabei organische Silhouette. Den Schirm gibt es in
den zwei Durchmessergrößen von 17 und 36 Zentimetern.

Designed by Marianne Tuxen for the restoration of the
Pompeii Hall at the Carlsberg Academy in Copenhagen,
the MT221 Tulip is a classically elegant pendant luminaire
which also boasts timeless aesthetics. The lampshade,
that is reminiscent of a tulip, is manufactured of three
layers of hand-blown, white opal glass finished with a
shine and is a testament to a high level of craftsmanship.
MT221 Tulip ensures agreeable even, glare-free ambient
lighting, while the small opening provides a direct beam
of light directed towards the floor. The solid brushed-brass
suspension harmoniously blends with the shade, thus
creating a clean and yet organic silhouette. The shade is
available in two sizes of diameters measuring 17 and 36
centimetres respectively.
