Pur und minimalistisch, aber nicht kalt. Aufgeräumt und klar, dabei
freundlich und wohnlich: Aus einem über hundert Jahre alten Back -
steinhaus mit einer daran anschließenden verfallenen Shed dach -
halle in einem Kölner Hinterhof schuf das ortsansässige Büro BeL
Sozietät für Architektur ein vielseitiges und luftiges Zuhause samt
Arbeitsbereich für eine junge Familie. Die Zutaten: Jede Menge
Raum und Licht, dazu sensibel abgestimmte Farben, Oberflächen
und Tex turen im stetigen Dialog zwischen Alt und Neu.

Purist and minimalist but not cold. Tidy and clear yet friendly and
cosy: The local office BeL Sozität für Architektur turned a more
than one hundred years old brick building with an adjacent decay-
ed shed-roof hall in a Cologne backyard into a multifaceted and
airy home with a work area for a young family. The ingredients:
A large amount of space and light and, added to this, carefully
coordinated colours, surfaces and textures in a constant dialogue
between the old and the new.
