The Competition
The innovation awards are aimed at companies and processing firms as well as interior designers/architects working in these fields. They are awarded to products and conceptual solutions that stand out in terms of both design and functionality based on architectural criteria.

Are architects within your target group?

The Innovation Award Architecture+ Office might be highly interesting for your company: industrial firms and designers present their products to face up to the critical judgement of architects and are thus given priceless trade-specific feedback. The renowned Innovation Award Architecture+ Office, which is being organized for the 13th time in 2024 by the architecture journal AIT in cooperation with Koelnmesse shall emphasise the significance of architectural quality which represents the safe basis for a promising result. From among the large number of building products available on the market those are awarded that correspond to the requirements of architects to a special degree.

Conditions of participation

Entitled to participate are all industrial companies and processing firms who have developed an innovative product or a project related solution for office furniture, accessories and equipment, luminaires, floor coverings, acoustic elements and other products for use in office buildings. It should meet high technical and design demands. Architects and interior designers, who collaborated with a manufacturer, may also participate. Both the development of the product and the project-related solution should not be more than three years old and should be available on the market at the time of ORGATEC 2024. Each company may submit up to four products.

Special Exhibition

All submitted products will be presented at the Innovation Award stand in a special exhibition at ORGATEC 2024 in Cologne. In addition to the product, you can display brochures about your product. Participation in the Innovation Award Architecture+ Office thus provides you with an additional presentation platform in addition to your stand for the entire duration of the trade fair from 22 to 25 October 2024.

Jury

The evaluation of the products and the selection of the winners will take place on 22 October 2024 by a jury of experts consisting of renowned interior designers, architects and decision-makers.

Award ceremony

The winners will be presented right after the jury meeting on 22 October 2024 at 5 p.m. as a public event at the Innovation Award stand.

Awards

The winners receive trophys (for the Innovation Award) and certificates (for Special Mentions and Mentions). Additionally, every award winner receives the digital logo of the Innovation Award and may use it for their own advertising activities for one year.

Special publication

All participants of the Innovation Award will be published with their products after the jury meeting in a comprehensive special section of AIT (reach up to 20,000 readers).

Online presence

In addition all participants of the Innovation Award will be presented with their products in the digital media of the publishing house. This includes an documentation on ait-xia-dialog.de, a presentation in the newsletter AIT-Dialog by GKT (around 15,000 subscribers) and distribution via social media channels.

Documents to be submitted

For each product, an information sheet must be completed and submitted in advance. This is provided to the jury for a better understanding of the product. You will receive the link to the template with your confirmation of participation.

Exhibit

For the special exhibition at the Innovation Award stand at ORGATEC 2024, we also need your product or a representative sample. This will be evaluated by the jury and will remain at the Innovation Award stand until the end of the trade fair.

Registration deadline: 17 September 2024
Submission of the required documents: 27 September 2024
Setup of the submitted products at ORGATEC: 21 October 2024
Jury meeting: 22 Oktober 2024
Award ceremony: 22 October 2024, at 5 p.m. at the Innovation Award stand

Participation fee

1.750 Euro (plus VAT) for the first product
750 Euro (plus VAT) for every additional product

Non-Exhibitors may possibly participate upon special agreement.

Cancellation fee
40 percent of the participation fee until four weeks before the jury meeting
70 percent of the participation fee from four weeks before the jury meeting
100 percent of the participation fee from one week before the jury meeting
