Innovation Award Architecture+ Building 2025

The Competition
The Innovation Awards are aimed at companies and processing firms as well as architects and interior designers working in these fields. Based on architectural criteria, they award products
and conceptual solutions which are equally convincing in terms of design and technical aspects.

Are architects within your target group?

The Innovation Award Architecture+ Building might be highly interesting for your company: industrial firms and designers present their products to face up to the critical judgement of architects and are thus, given priceless trade-specific feedback. The renowned Innovation Award Architecture+ Building, which is being organized for the 16th time in 2025 by the architecture journal AIT in cooperation with Messe München emphasises the significance of architectural quality which represents the safe basis for a promising result. From among the large number of building products available on the market those are awarded that correspond to the requirements of architects to a special degree.

Conditions of participation

Participation is possible for all exhibitors at BAU 2025, who have developed an innovative product or a project related solution in regard to building. Both should meet high technical and design demands. Architects and interior designers, who collaborated with an exhibiting company, may also participate. Both the development of the product and the project-related solution should not date back more than three years and has to be available on the market at the time of the fair. Every company has the possibility to submit several products. Unfortunately, non-exhibitors are unable to participate.

Presentation of submissions

During BAU 2025, all submitted products are presented at the Innovation Award booth on DIN A0 posters. Additionally, you will be able to display brochures about your product. By participating in the Innovation Award Architecture+ Building, you can make use of a second presentation platform over the entire duration of the trade fair.

Jury

The award winners are selected by an expert jury consisting of renowned interior-/architects and
decision-makers. On the first day of the trade fair the jury will visit the booth of your company to examine the submitted product. On this occasion you will be able to present your product in person.

Award ceremony

The winners will be presented right after the jury meeting on 13 January 2025 at 5 pm as a public event at the Innovation Award booth.

Awards

The winners receive trophys (for the Innovation Award) and certificates (for Special Mentions and Mentions). Additionally, every award winner receives the digital logo of the Innovation Award and may use it for their own advertising activities for one year.

Special print publication

All participants of the Innovation Award will be published with their products after the jury meeting in a comprehensive special section of AIT (reach up to 20,000 readers).

Online presence

In addition, all participants of the Innovation Award will be presented with their products in the digital media of the publishing house. This includes a documentation on www.ait-xia-dialog.de, a presentation in the newsletter AIT-Dialog by GKT (around 15,000 subscribers) and distribution via social media channels.

Required documents

For each product, an information sheet must be completed online and submitted in advance. This is provided to the jury for a better understanding of the product. For the special exhibition on our Innovation Award booth, you will design a DIN-A0 poster based on a template that you will receive from us with your registration confirmation. There is no need to provide an additional exhibit.

Registration deadline: extended until 3 December 2024
Submission of the required documents: extended until 13 December 2024
Submission of the print file for the poster:  3 January 2025
Assessment tour and jury meeting: 13 January 2025
Award ceremony: 13 January 2025 at 5 p.m. at the Innovation Award booth

1.750 Euro (plus VAT) for the first product
750 Euro (plus VAT) for every additional product
