Mit ihrer Dissertation „Der Extremtypus in der Büroarchitektur.
Seine Repräsentanten im Wandel der Arbeitswelt und die Bedin-
gungen für ihr Entstehen“ untersucht Prof. Dr. Tanja Remke histori-
sche Büroarchitekturen, die uns bis heute prägen. Ihre Entstehun-
gen sind eng an wirtschaftliche Auf- oder Abschwünge, gesell-
schaftliche Veränderungen und technische Innovationen geknüpft.
Lassen sich aus der Geschichte Rückschlüsse auf bevorstehende
Veränderungen in unserer Arbeitswelt durch die Pandemie ziehen?

With her PhD thesis “The extreme type in office architecture. Its
representatives in the changing world of work and the conditi-
ons for its emergence”, Prof. Dr. Tanja Remke is examining his-
torical office architectures that continue to leave their mark on
us today. Their emergence is closely linked to economic upturns
or downturns, social changes and technical innovations. Can
conclusions be drawn from history about impending changes in
