Lange Leine: Ausgehend von der sonst wenig beachteten
Ästhetik einer Stromleitung haben die belgischen Desi-
gner Serge und Robert Cornelissen für Martinelli Luce
eine modulare Deckenleuchte entworfen, die das Kabel
selbst zum Protagonisten macht. Durch die ungewöhnli-
che Stromführung zeichnet Cordon feine Linien von
einem Lichtpunkt zum anderen. Die Komponenten sind
minimal und die Konfiguration ist flexibel, da die Anzahl
und Positionierung der Lichtpunkte sowie die Kabellänge
und -farbe individuell angepasst werden können. Aus
jeder Anordnung entsteht ein neuer Rhythmus, der ins-
besondere hohe Räume von der Decke her definiert.
Long leash: Inspired by the otherwise little noted aes-
thetics of an electrical cable, the Belgian designers
Serge and Robert Cornelissen have developed for Mar-
tinelli Luce a modular ceiling lamp that turns the cable
itself into the protagonist. Due to the unusual cable
conduit, Cordon produces fine lines from one point of
light to the other. The components are minimal and the
configuration is flexible since the number and position
of the points of light as well as the length and colour of
the cable can be individually adapted. Each arrange-
ment produces a new rhythm which defines especially
high rooms from the ceiling.
