B ei der Gestaltung des neuen Burgbad-Messestandes für die ISH
2023 in Frankfurt legen Bottega + Ehrhardt Architekten aus Stuttgart
und Studio Besau-Marguerre aus Hamburg ihren Fokus auf Nachhaltig-
keit: Unter Verwendung ökologischer Materialien entsteht ein modula-
res und wiederverwendbares Raumsystem, das durch seine Leichtigkeit
und Klarheit überzeugt. Im Mittelpunkt des Messestandes steht eine Art
Holzregal, das – schräg zur Eingrenzung des Grundrisses platziert – in
einer asymmetrischen Kreuzform angeordnet ist. Durch seine Geometrie
ergeben sich vier Raumzonen, für je eine Produktlinie. Die 4,5 Meter
hohe Konstruktion besteht aus heimischem Fichtenkantholz, das mit
sichtbaren Schraubverbindungen montiert wurde. Trotz seiner Größe
wirkt dieses Wand-Möbel-Hybrid filigran und transparent. Einzelne,
mit Birkensperrholzplatten beplankte Flächen bieten einen neutralen
Hintergrund für die Präsentation der Burgbad-Produkte. Öffnungen und
Nischen lockern die statische Anmutung auf. Ein sieben Meter hoher,
t ransluzenter Vorhang mit zitronengelbem Farbverlauf umhüllt den
Stand, schafft unterschiedliche Einblicke und weckt die Neugierde auf
die Ausstellung dahinter. Der homogen sandfarbene Boden verstärkt
die natürliche Wirkung der Hölzer. In Bilderrahmen werden Fotografien
der aktuellen Produktkampagne ausgestellt. Wohnliche Sitzmöbel, Bei-
stell- und Stehtische, eine Innovations-Produktinsel sowie ein Bartresen

Besau-Marguerre from Hamburg put their focus on sustainability: using
ecological materials and developing a modular and reusable spatial
system, the result is a concept with lightness and clarity. At the centre
of the stand is a kind of wooden shelf that – placed at an angle to the
floor plan – is arranged in an asymmetrical cross shape. Its geometry
results in four spatial zones, each for one product line. The 4.5-metre-
high construction is made of local spruce square timber which was
assembled with visible screw connections. Despite its size, this wall-
furniture hybrid looks delicate and transparent. Individual surfaces
planked with birch plywood panels provide a neutral background for
the presentation of Burgbad products. Openings and niches soften the
static impression. A 7-metre-high translucent curtain with a lemon- yel-
low colour gradient envelops the stand, creating different insights and
arousing curiosity about the exhibition behind it. The homogeneous
sand-coloured floor reinforces the natural effect of the woods. Photo-
