• The tour follows the phases of a football match.

football history in the Deutsches Fußballmuseum in Dortmund. Close to
the Dortmund railway station, the Düsseldorf HPP Hentrich-Petschnigg &
Partner architectural office designed a “pilgrimage site” for all those who
are enthusiastic about football. Where formerly buses used to park,
today a medially illuminated construction floats on slender supports
above a forecourt. Light installations embedded in the ground extend
from outside into the foyer and are the start of the multi-media tour
which is impressively staged by the Düsseldorf Sigma company for visu-
al media technology. On approximately 7,000 square metres, the Berlin
Triad creative agency developed an exhibition concept which takes the
visitors away into the world of Germany’s most popular sport. The tour
through five exhibition areas follows the phases of a football match:
Before the game, the visitor is emotionally tuned in; the first half-time
shows the world of the national teams; during the half-time break, the
trainers and the tactic are presented; the second half-time shows the
world of club football and the play area invokes the phase after the
game. Highlights are provided by individual theme rooms, such as the
treasure chamber with the cups of the national team and the clubs or
the exhibition section of the World Championship 2014 in Brazil.
