A uf der Light + Building feierte ein innovatives Konzept für flexible
Licht technik Premiere: Plug & Light. Die Erfindung von Insta, die in
Ko operation mit den Mutterfirmen Jung und Gira umgesetzt wurde, ver-
bindet Licht steu erung und Strom versorgung in Form einer Licht steck dose
miteinander. In jede handelsübliche europäische Steck dose ist sie ein-
setzbar und im Gebrauch leicht zu handhaben: Über Ma gneten werden
va riable Lichtaufsätze an die Licht steck dose an gedockt. Jede Leuchte
kann anschlagslos um 360 Grad gedreht und spielend leicht ausge-
tauscht werden. Die von Insta entwickelten Licht auf sätze Pendel, Fluter,
Strahler und Lichtmaschine sind passend zu den Schalterserien LS990
und LS Zero von Jung erhältlich, die Jung im durchgängigen Design in
Alpin weiß, Schwarz, Aluminium lackiert und Edelstahl lackiert anbietet.
Plug & Light schafft ungekannte Freiheit, die Funktion eines Raumes so -
wie seine Beleuchtung zu verändern, und eröffnet so neue Mög lich keiten
für die Pla nung: Lediglich die Position von Steck dosen und Schaltern der
Licht quellen muss während des Bau prozesses geplant werden; die
Leuchten wahl hingegen kann zu jedem Zeitpunkt verändert werden.
Reiz voll ist der Ge danke, einen Deck en strahler im Handum drehen in eine
Lese leuchte zu verwandeln oder einen Fluter in einen Strahler. Ab ge -
sehen von der Varianz der Licht aufsätze und ihrer flexiblen Ausrichtung
kann auch die Helligkeit durch flackerfreies Dimmen angepasst werden.
Wand lungsfähigkeit im Lichtdesign wird auf ein neues Niveau gehoben. ts

A t Light + Building, an innovative concept for flexible lighting tech-
nology celebrated its premiere: Plug & Light. The invention by
Insta, which was implemented in cooperation with the parent compa-
nies Jung and Gira, combines light control and electric supply in the
form of a light plug. It can be inserted into any commercial European
socket and is easy to use: Variable light fixtures are docked to the light
plug with magnets. Each luminaire can be rotated through 360
degrees with no mechanical stop and easily replaced. The pendant,
floodlight, spotlight and light machine fixtures developed by Insta are
available coordinated with the LS990 and LS Zero switch series by
Jung offered with the consistent design in alpine white, black, painted
aluminium and stainless steel. Plug & Light allows scope never known
before for changing the function of a room as well as its lighting and
thus opens up now possibilities for planning: During the construction
process, only the position of sockets and switches of the light sources
has to be planned while the choice of luminaires can be changed at
any point in time. It is an appealing idea to easily change a ceiling
spotlight into a reading lamp, or a floodlight into a spotlight. In addi-
tion to the variability of the light fixtures and their flexible direction,
the brightness can also be adjusted by flicker-free dimming. Versatility
in lighting design is raised to a new level.
