P anoramablick inklusive: Am Fuße des Plateaus von Cortaillod mit
Blick auf den Neuenburger See entstand durch die Architekten von
Andrea Pelati auf dem Grundstück eines aus den 1950er-Jahren stam-
menden Wohnhauses ein zweites Einfamilienhaus. In den Hang gebaut,
passt sich der Neubau in die geografischen Gegebenheiten sinnfällig ein
und prägte gleichzeitig die weitere Modellierung der Garten land schaft
mit. So entstand eine aufgeschüttete Terrassen plattform und ein auf
dem Flach dach des Neubaus angelegter, gefälleloser Garten, der künftig
zum Bestands ge bäude gehört. Die 208 Quadratmeter Nutz fläche orga-
nisierten die Architekten über eine Split-Level-Struktur. Sämtliche durch
die kurzen Treppeneinheiten in ein ander-fließenden Wohnräume wur-
den entlang der Seefassade an geordnet. Den male rischen Panorama-
blick auf den See geben raumhohe Fenster der Keller AG frei. Das
Schiebetür- und Fen stersystem Minimal Windows 4+ ist bündig in
Boden, Decke und Wand verbaut und ermöglicht mit seinen schmalen
Rahmen profilen eine optisch hochwertige wie minimalistische Fenster -
lösung, die zu dem kubi schen, auf wenige Materialien reduzierten
Neubau passt. Darüber hinaus sorgt die Posi tio nierung der großforma-
tigen Fenster elemente, als ein zelne Einheiten sowie als Fensterband,
für eine prägnante Fassa den erschei nung, die die Split-Level-Bauweise
aufgreift und dem ansonsten schlichten und dunklen Baukörper

built a second single-family house on the site of a 1950s residential
building. Built into the slope, the new building blends in perfectly
with the geographical conditions and, at the same time, helped shape
the further modelling of the garden landscape. This resulted in a rai-
sed terrace platform and a slope-free garden laid out on the flat roof
of the new building, which will be part of the existing building. The
architects organised the 208-square metre floor space using a split-
level structure. All living rooms that flow into each other as a result
of the short stair units were arranged along the lake façade. The pic-
turesque panoramic view of the lake is made possible by floor-to-cei-
ling windows from Keller AG. The sliding door and window system
