In den Schichten eines Porphyrfelsens in Jenesien – einer kleinen Süd-
tiroler Gemeinde bei Bozen – liegt der Erweiterungsbau des Vier-
Sterne-Superior-Hotels Belvedere. Der Neubau reagiert weniger auf
die Bestandsarchitektur alpinen Stils, sondern vielmehr auf die Natur;
als Hangtrakt – abstraktes Zitat des Geländes. Das ganzheitliche Licht-
design ist es, was in den zusätzlichen Suiten, dem neuen Spa- und
Gymbereich und dem Parkhaus besonders besticht – mit seiner ganz
persönlichen Note. Auf Platz zwei: Der spektakuläre Panoramablick.

The extension of the four-star superior Belvedere hotel is located in
the layers of a porphyry rock in Jenesien – a small community in
South Tyrol near Bolzano. The new building responds less to the exis-
ting architecture in alpine style but more to the surrounding nature –
an abstract quotation of the terrain. It is the consistent lighting design
which, in the additional suites, the new spa- and gym zone and the
parking garage, particularly captivates – with its very personal touch.
