V orhang auf für zukunftsfähige Arbeitswelten! In den neuen Geschäftsräumen
der Investmentfirma Xeito zeigen die Madrider Architekten von Enorme, wie
partizipative Dynamik geht: Ein Doppelvorhangsystem ermöglicht den Mitarbeitern
der Beteiligungsgesellschaft die selbstbestimmte Zonierung der 180 Quadratmeter
großen Bürofläche. Bis zu zehn unterschiedliche Konfigurationen mit differenzierten
Belichtungs- und Akustikszenarien lassen sich mit dem textilen Raumteiler arrangie-
ren. Dreh- und Angelpunkt des offenen Work-Space ist eine kreisrunde, atriumartige
Multifunktionsfläche, die im Bedarfsfall visuell und akustisch von den ringsum an-
geordneten Einzelarbeitsplätzen abgeschirmt werden kann. Daneben ermöglichen
Trennwände mit schwenk- und faltbaren Türen die Öffnung intimerer Arbeitsberei-
che zu einem durchlässigen Raumkontinuum. Dass auf diese Weise Bewegungs- und
Begegnungszonen stets neu definiert werden können, entspricht ganz den vorange-
gangenen Projekten aus der Feder von Rocío Pina und Carmelo Rodríguez, den Grün-
dern und leitenden Planern von Enorme. Seit 2016 sind sie auf radikal innovative Lö-
sungen insbesondere für stadt- und wohnräumliche Problemlagen spezialisiert.
Genau hierin liegt übrigens ein Investitionsbereich der Auftraggeber, deren neue Bü-
roräume nun auch Aushängeschild für zukunftsorientierte Architektur sind.

C urtain up for sustainable working environments! In the new business premises of
the investment company Xeito, the Madrid-based architects from Enorme demon-
strate how participatory dynamics work: a double curtain system allows the employees
of the investment company to self-determine the zoning of the 180-square-metre office
space. Up to ten different configurations with differentiated lighting and acoustic scena-
rios can be configured with the textile room divider. The focal point of the open-plan
workspace is a circular, atrium-like multifunctional area that can, if necessary, be visu-
ally and acoustically screened off from the individual workstations that are arranged
around it. In addition, partition walls with hinged and folding doors make it possible to
open up intimate work areas to create a permeable room continuum. The fact that
zones of movement and encounter can be constantly redefined thanks to this system is
entirely in keeping with previous projects conceived by Rocío Pina and Carmelo Rodrí-
guez, the founders and senior planners of Enorme. Since 2016, they have specialised in
radically innovative solutions, especially for problematic sites in urban and residential
environments. Incidentally, this is precisely one of the client’s areas of investment, and
their new office space now also serves as a showcase for future-oriented architecture.
