T oby’s Home ist ein Flagshipstore mit Café der Spielzeuglinie Toby. Für die Fantasie -
wesen der Marke entwickelten die Architekten von penda einen abstrakten Wald
aus weißen Lamellen, die als stilisierte Palmenge wächse vom Boden aus in Bögen über
die Decke laufen. Die Abstände der Lamellen werden im unteren Bereich als Regalsystem
und an der Decke als Trag struktur für die Lichttechnik genutzt. Je nach Blick rich tung steht
die flächige, indirekt beleuchtete Gestalt des Einbaus oder die lineare Funkti onalität der
Konstruktion mit ihr en Mö glichkeiten der Warenpräsentation im Vorder grund. Dab ei
bleibt die Storefläche trotz ihrer Zonierung in Teilbereichen frei und flexibel nutzbar.

T oby’s Home is a flagship store and café for the Toby line of toys. For the brand’s
fictional characters the architects of penda developed an abstract forest consis-
ting of white lamellas, which arch from the floor across the ceiling as stylised palm
trees. The spacing of the lamellas is used as a shel ving system in the lo wer section
and as support structure for lighting devices on the ceiling. Depending on the viewing
angle, the flat, indirect shape of the built-in elements or the linear functionality of the
structure, which can be used to display products, is to the fore. At the same time, the
store area remains free and flexibly usable despite the zoning into subareas.
