Gerichtshof in Vicenza
Quadrat trifft Kreis: Der von Michele Valentini entwor-
fene Gerichtshof wurde 2012 erbaut und kombiniert
eckige und geschwungene Elemente. Der in der
Fotografie gezeigte Gerichtsraum verfügt neben der
Fensterfront über eine Decke mit ovalen Oberlichtern,
die einen starken Einfall von natürlichem Licht
ermöglichen. Im Kontrast dazu sieht der Käfig für die
Ange klagten mit seiner bleigrauen Metall konstruktion
bedrohlich, düster und schwer aus.

Courthouse of Vicenza
Designed by Michele Valentini, Vicenza Palazzo di Gius -
ti zia is located in Via Gallo. Built in 2012. The building
shows, in exterior and interiors, a combination of both
angular and curved architectural elements. The court-
room showed in the photograph has a peculiar lighting.
Windows and the particular windowed ceiling ensure a
large passage of natural light. On contrary the cage, for
dangerous accused, looks very heavy. The lead-gray
metal structure appears threatening and dark.

Gerichtshof in Mailand
Überreste des Faschismus? Strenge Monumentalität,
viel Rhetorik und üppige antike Anspielungen sollen
Ehrfurcht und Scheu erwecken. Der würfelförmige
Gerichtskomplex von Marcello Piacentini in Mai land ist
in seiner Ausgestaltung typisch für die Zeit unter
Benito Mussolini. In dem mit Marmor ausgekleideten
Gerichtssaal sticht das Mosaik von Mario Sironi hervor.
Es wurde im Jahr 1936 geschaffen und stellt Justitia mit
dem Gesetzbuch dar.

Courthouse of Minlano
The Palazzo di Giustizia in Milan is in Via Freguglia. It
is a huge cubic complex. Designed by Marcello Pia -
centini according to the typical architectural parameters
of the Fascist period: strict monumentality, a lot of rhet-
oric and rich in ancient suggestions. In the represented
courtroom, the mosaic of Mario Sironi stands out.
Executed in 1936, it represents the "armed Justice with
the Law". This austere space inspires reverence and awe
through its marbles and the rigid architecture.

Gerichtshof in Monza
Um die konservative Erscheinung in den zwei großen
Gerichtssälen des Gerichtshofes in Monza zu bewahren,
ist man längst dazu übergegangen defekte Möbelstücke
zu reparieren, statt sie zu ersetzen. Der Charme des
Baus von Architekt Luigi Bartesaghi aus dem Jahr 1934
blieb so erhalten. Neue Elemente wie die sichtbaren
Rohr leitungen und das Buntglasfenster hinter dem
Richterpult geben dem gezeigten Gerichtssaal dennoch
ein ungewöhnliches, collagenhaftes Aussehen.

Courthouse of Monza
Monza Palazzo di Giustizia is in Piazza Garibaldi. A
structure built in 1934 by architect Luigi Bartesaghi.
Over the years, the court chairmans has done its utmost
to ensure, in the two main courtrooms, a conservative
maintenance, holding as much as possible to repair any
broken furniture items instead of replacing them. In the
showed room, the exposed bend pipe, installed for air
conditioning, and the stained glass window gives an
unusual aspect, relieving the space austere rigidity.
