SPACE4 OFFICE
IN STUTTGART
When a design- and architecture firm that is specializing
in museums designs new office space for its own team,
you can of course expect something special. Space4 has
unleashed its creative potential in the listed industrial
area of Mörikehof, creating colourful, variable, large and
small, communicative and contemplative spaces in which
they now particularly enjoy working.
„Die Arbeitsräume W here a paper factory had once been producing letter envelopes,

and the adjoining administration building, was divided into two zones:
Fabrikgeschoss, the workplaces on the spacious factory floor and a series of meeting- and
Besprechungs- und administration rooms as well as a bistro in the smaller structure of the
former offices. High ceilings, wide sightlines and a clear column grid set

SPACE4 atmospheres: from concentrated work to joining forces to work in project
teams or creative exchange in small groups with an open workshop cha-

which extends into the room in rich blue together with the adjoining
table, attractively contrasting with the cheerful pink kitchenette. Looking
like a string of lights, light balls float above everything, signalling that
this is a relaxed place for shared lunches, coffee breaks or spontaneous
exchanges of ideas. In the original office- and residential part of the buil-

to the reception area, there is a “writing room” for concentrated work, a
