D ort wo im Mailänder Bezirk Bicocca bis 1985 Gummi und Metall ver-
arbeitet wurde, befindet sich heute ein nutzungsdurchmischtes Quar -
tier mit Büro bauten, Wohnanlagen und öffentlichen Einrichtungen wie
der Uni versity of Milan Bicocca und dem Teatro degli Arcimboldi. Kürzlich
fertiggestellt wurde außerdem der neue Hauptsitz von Prysmian Group —
einem weltweit agierenden Unternehmen im Bereich Energie und Tele -
kommuni ka tion. Die Architekten von Maurizio Varratta und DEGW nutz-
ten zu diesem Zweck drei Industriehallen zu einem zusam men hän gen den
Büro kom plex um. Als verbindende Elemente entstanden begrünte Licht -
höfe, die für Pausen und informelle Bespre chun gen, aber auch für eine
kontrollierte Klimatisierung und eine natürliche Belichtung der Büro -
flächen genutzt werden. Für den weiteren Ausbau der im Bestand unter-
gebrachten Büro bereiche sorgten Möbel und Trennwände von Fantoni.
Die I-Wall space-Trennwände bestehen dabei aus einem schmalen Profil -
sys tem, das für die Prysmian Group mit schalldämmender Doppel -
verglasung oder mit Eichen-Paneelen befüllt wurde. Die Wand segmente
verfügen zudem über Kabelführungs möglich keiten und die Option, mit
Touch screen-Moni toren abgetrennte Bespre chungsräume flexibel zu
kennzeichnen. Ebenfalls formal klar und flexibel nutzbar sind die Arbeits -
plätze, die sich dank der Framework-Kollektion von Fantoni nahtlos in die
lichten Raumgefüge einpassen und sich mit selbsterklärenden Orga -

ums were created as connecting elements, which are used for breaks
and informal meetings, but also for controlled air-conditioning and
natural lighting of the office areas. Fantoni furniture and partition walls
ensured the further fitting out of the office areas accommodated in the
existing building. The I-Wallspace partitions consist of a narrow profile
system that was filled with sound-absorbing double glazing or oak
panels for the Prysmian Group. The wall segments also have cable rou-
ting facilities and the option of flexibly marking separate meeting
rooms with touch-screen monitors. The workstations, which thanks to
Fantoni's Framework Collection blend seamlessly into the light room
structure and are suitable for non-territorial workstation layouts thanks
