S ky Italia zählt zu Europas größten Pay-TV-Anbietern. Das Mailänder
Headquarter wurde vor rund zehn Jahren vom australischen, auf die
Rundfunk- und Fernsehbranche spezialisierten Architekturbüro Byron
Harford & Associates erbaut. Doch in der schnelllebigen Medienwelt ist
es ein Muss, ständig eine Nasenlänge voraus zu sein. Sky Italia hat des-
halb jüngst kräftig in die Arbeitsplätze seiner Mitarbeiter investiert. Das
zur Lombar dini22-Gruppe gehörende Mailänder Planungs- und Bera -
tungs unter nehmen DEGW, ein Leader im Workplace-Sektor, schickte sei-
nem Entwurf umfangreiche Interviews, Workshops und Analysen voraus,
um Sky Italias Bürowelt smarter, bedarfsgerechter und effizienter werden
zu lassen. Alles ist nun auf Kooperation und Erfahrungsaustausch ange-
legt. Viele geschlossene Büroräume sind offenen gewichen, und es gibt
mehr Besprechungs räume unterschiedlicher Größe. Flexible Büromöbel
von Pedrali aus den Kollektionen Modus, Grace, Babila, Nemea und Arki
sollen einen Beitrag zum Arbeitsplatzkomfort der Mitarbeiter leisten. In
den Brainstorming zonen sind Nischen für informelle Treffen kleiner
Grüppchen entstanden. Platz nehmen können die Mitarbeiter auf den

architectural firm Byron Harford & Associates, which focuses its work on
the radio and television industry. However, in the fast-moving media
world, it is a must to always be one step ahead. Sky Italia has therefore
recently invested heavily in the working environment of its employees.
The Milan-based planning and consulting firm DEGW, part of the Lombar -
dini22 Group and a leader in the workplace sector, preceded the design
phase with extensive interviews, workshops, and analyses to make Sky
Italia's office world smarter, more responsive, and more efficient. Every -
thing is now geared towards cooperation and the exchange of experience.
Many closed offices have given way to open-plan ones, and there are
more meeting rooms of different sizes. Flexible office furniture by Pedrali
from the Modus, Grace, Babila, Nemea, and Arki ranges is intended to
contribute to the comfort of the employees' workplaces. In the brainstor-
ming zones, niches have been created for informal meetings involving
small groups. Employees can sit on the modular benches from the Modus
series. Slim tables from the Arki collection were also combined here with
