Intuitive Orientierung durch Farbzonierung • Intuitive orientation thanks to coloured zones

A nlässlich der diesjährigen Messe Orgatec, vom 25. bis 29. Oktober
in Köln erweitert der Teppichfliesen-Spezialist Desso die Essentials-
Kollektion um neue Produkte. Der Teppichboden Natural Nuances
zeichnet sich durch eine breite Farbpalette aus, die Architekten und
Innenarchitekten einen großen Gestaltungsspielraum eröffnet. Eine
Auswahl von 48 fein aufeinander abgestimmte Grautönen bietet für
jeden Kontext die entsprechende Farbnuance und unterstützt den
Trend zu offenen Bürolandschaften: Durch die Kombination von
Farben und Texturen können Arbeits bereiche je nach Funktion unter-
schiedlich gestaltet und zoniert werden. Die optische Trennung oder
Verbindung vermittelt Mitarbeitern und Besuchern eine intuitive
Orientierung, sodass unterbewusst Leitsysteme entstehen und private
versus öffentliche Bereiche erfahrbar werden. Desso verfolgt ehrgeizige
Ziele bezüglich der umweltschonenden Herstellung ihrer Produkte. In
Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Trinkwasserunternehmen wird Kalk als
im Laufe der Wasser auf be reitung anfallender Reststoff zu Granulat ver-
arbeitet. Die Rücken be schichtung der Desso-Teppichfliesen besteht
bereits heute zu 50 Prozent aus diesem „Abfallprodukt“. Je nach aus-
gewählter Farbe ist Natural Nuances mit dem Cradle-to-Cradle-
Zertifikat ausgezeichnet, was für einen besonders verantwortungsvol-
len Umgang mit Ressourcen und die Verwendung von gesundheitlich
unbedenklichen, wiederverwertbaren Materialien steht. kb

O n the occasion of this year’s Orgatec exhibition in Cologne from
25th to 29th October, carpet-tile specialist Desso will be showing
new products as additions to the Essentials Collection. The Natural
Nuances carpet flooring stands out with its wide range of attractive
colours which provides architects and interior designers with ample
scope. A choice of 48 precisely coordinated tones of grey provides the
suitable colour nuance for any context imaginable and also supports the
trend towards open-plan office landscapes: By combining colours and
textures, work areas can be distinctly designed and structured depen-
ding on their function. The visual separation or connection allows
employees and visitors intuitive orientation so that subconscious guiding
systems are created and private versus public areas can be noticed.
Desso has ambitious aims as to the environment-friendly manufacturing
of its products. In cooperation with local suppliers of drinking water, cal-
cium carbonate (chalk) as a residue produced during water treatment is
turned into granulates. Already today, the back coating of the Desso car-
pet tiles consists 50 percent of what actually is a “waste product”.
Depending on the colour that may be selected, Natural Nuances has
been awarded the Cradle-to-Cradle Certificate which stands for particu-
larly responsible handling of natural resources and the use of recyclable
materials not presenting any harm to human health.
