SPECIALIZED BIKE SHOP
IN ZÜRICH

städtisch-modernen Kontext her.
tend gelbe Polster setzen markante Farbakzente.
T his first flagship store of the American bicycle brand Specialized in Switzerland is
intended to showcase the development of e-bikes in Cham.. On the almost comple-
tely glazed ground floor of a new building, the Munich-based interior design team from
iam created a new urban brand world in Zurich-Altstetten, clearly defining the architecture
of the six-metre-high rooms over 350 square metres and dividing them into three areas. In
the City, Swissness and Nature Worlds, customers can intuitively explore the brand’s pro-
duct range. A centrally positioned black functional block provides maximum storage and
display space, while the existing presentation system has been integrated into the design.
A new vertical grating system provides additional display options and creates the desired
urban-modern context. Podiums made from Durat, a recycled material, complement the
black, structured elements with an simple organic design language, while bright yellow
seat padding provides striking colour accents. A metal spiral staircase leads to the gallery
on the first floor. Here, the lemon-yellow kitchen and mint-coloured walls, a colourful
reference to many Specialized products, create a fresh atmosphere for consultations and
back-office work. This innovative store design showcases Specialized’s e-bikes and provi-
des a contemporary urban experience that aligns with the brand’s forward-thinking ethos.
