Inside Festival of Interiors 2023 ...

All eyes on the insides! Internationale Auszeichnungen für Hochbauprojekte gibt es reich-
lich. Fast gar nicht werden dagegen global bedeutsame Preise ausgerufen, bei denen die
Innenarchitektur als Disziplin im Zentrum steht. Umso mehr freut uns die Ankündigung
des World Festivals of Interiors 2023, das im Spätherbst in Singapur die weltweit besten
Innenräume des Jahres küren wird! Das im Jahr 2008 als Schwesterevent des World Archi-
tecture Festivals etablierte Fest der Innenarchitektur gastierte in den Vorjahren schon in
Lissabon, Amsterdam, Barcelona und Berlin (2017). Die hohe Qualität der Einreichungen
zeigt die Notwendigkeit der Würdigung von Innenarchitektur als eigenständiges Fach.

There are plenty of international awards for building-construction projects. However,
there are hardly any globally significant awards focussing on interior design as a
discipline. All the more reason for us to be pleased about the announcement of the
World Festival of Interiors 2023, which will select the best interiors of the year world-
wide in Singapore in late autumn! Established in 2008 as a sister event to the World

celona and Berlin (2017). The high-quality submissions demonstrate the need for
interior design to be appreciated as a subject in its own right.
