Boryana Ilieva ist Architektin und begeisterte Cineastin. Gemein-

sam mit Panayot Savov gründete sie 2008 in Sofia das Architektur-

büro 11AM, mit dem sie vor allem kleinere Apart ment umbauten re-

alisiert. Nach der Lektüre von The Architecture of Image: Existen -

tial Space in Cinema des finni schen Architekturdenkers Juhani Pal-

lasmaas begann Ilieva 2015, ihre beiden Leidenschaften für die Ar-

chitektur und das Kino in detailreichen, perspektivischen Grund-

risszeichnungen bekannter Filmsets zu verbinden. Den Anfang

machte der Film Elena des russischen Regisseurs Andrey Zvyagint-

sev. Seither entstanden hunderte Arbeiten, die Ilieva unter dem

Namen Floor Plan Croissant auch verkauft. Für AIT hat sie die Sets

von drei aktuelle Kinofilmen visualisiert: Pedro Almodóvars Leid

und Herrlichkeit, Taika Waititis Jojo Rabbit (Seite 028/029) sowie

Paul Thomas Andersons Der seidene Faden (Seite 040/041).

Boryana Ilieva is an architect and enthusiastic cineaste. Together

with Panayot Savov, she founded the architectural office 11AM in

Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, in 2008, mainly realising smaller

apartment conversion projects. After reading The Architecture of

Image: Existential Space in Cinema by Finnish architecture theo-

rist Juhani Pallasmaas, in 2015 Ilieva began to combine her two

passions for architecture and cinema in highly detailed, perspec-
tive floor plans of well-known film sets. The film Elena by Russ-

ian director Andrey Zvyagintsev marked the beginning. Since

then, hundreds of works have been created, which Ilieva also

sells under the name of Floor Plan Croissant. For AIT, she has vi-

sualised the sets of three current movies: Pedro Almodóvar's Pain

and Glory, Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit (page 028/029) and Paul

Thomas Anderson's Phantom Thread (page 040/041).
