N ein, nicht Olymp! Olimp! Nicht Griechenland, sondern Rumänien!
Der Badeort liegt an der Schwarzmeerküste. Und dort steht seit
vergangenem Jahr in erster Reihe am Meer die gleichnamige Villa
Olimp. Das interdisziplinäre Bukarester Büro Phenomena Design Labo-
ratory, 2014 vom Architekten Eduard Baicu gegründet, konnte das
hochwertige Objekt im Auftrag des lokalen Immobilieninvestors
Novum Invest realisieren. Mit phantastischem Blick öffnen sich die
Wohn- und Schlafräume zum Meer und zum Villa-eigenen Pool. Das
Ensemble besteht aus zwei Bauteilen, die über einen Patio als Durch-
gang zum Meer verbunden sind. Strahlend weiß präsentiert sich diese
Bauskulptur. Die Fassade ausMineralwerkstoff ist mit acht Millimeter
starkem Kerrock UV in Snow White verkleidet. Straßenseitig schaffen
aus den Paneelen herausklappende Halbkreise ein lebendiges, an die
Gischt des Meeres erinnerndes Licht- und Schattenspiel. Der homo-
gene Mineralwerkstoff ist prädestiniert für plastische Modellierungen,
denn er lässt sich leicht thermisch verformen. Die Kompetenz in Her-
stellung und Verarbeitung stammt aus dem Headquarter der Firma
Kolpa in Slowenien. Innen setzt sich das vielseitig einsetzbare Solid
Surface Material fort: Die Küche ist aus Kerrock gefertigt und die Bäder
aus dem Programm Kolpa San Premium. Beide bieten sowohl hoch-

since last year, the Villa Olimp of the same name has been standing in
the first row along the sea. The interdisciplinary Bucharest office Pheno-
mena Design Laboratory, founded in 2014 by the architect Eduard Baicu,
has been able to design the high-quality object commissioned by the
local Novum Invest real-estate investor. The living- and bedrooms open
with a fantastic view to the sea and the villa’s very own pool. The en-
semble consists of two building sections which are linked by a patio ser-
ving as a passage to the sea. This sculptural construction is radiant
white. The façade built of solid-surface material is clad eight-millimetres
strong Kerrock UV in Snow White. Towards the street, the semi-circles
that can be folded out of the panels produce a lively play of light and
shadow reminding of the spray of the sea. The homogeneous solid-sur-
face material is predestined for sculptural modelling since it can be ea-
sily thermally formed. The competence for producing and processing this
material comes from the headquarters of the Kolpa company in Slove-
nia. The multiply usable solid-surface material is continued inside: The
kitchen is made of Kerrock and the bathrooms of the Kolpa San Premium
programme. Both offer high-quality, easy-clean, antibacterial serial pro-
ducts as well as individual design solutions.
