Biennale-Highlights: Maison Fibre ...

Mag sein, dass wir aufgrund unseres Standortes nicht ganz unvoreingenommen sind, aber
was das Exzellenzcluster IntCDC der Universität Stuttgart als Antwort auf die zentrale
Frage der 17. Architekturbiennale in Venedig „How will we live together?“ präsentiert, ist
schon großes Kino! Projektteams des ICD und des ITKE haben mit „Maison Fibre“ eine In-
stallation geschaffen, die ausschließlich aus robotisch gefertigten Bauelementen besteht –
die erste mehrgeschossige Struktur dieser Art. Sie bietet den Arsenale-Besuchern die räum-
liche Erfahrung einer zukunftsweisenden, entmaterialisierten Architektur, deren Bauele-
mente aus nur wenigen Kilogramm Baumaterial vor Ort hergestellt werden können. ps

Biennale in Venice “How will we live together?” is really great! With Maison Fibre, ICD
and ITKE project teams created an installation exclusively consisting of robotically made
components – the very first multi-storey structure of this kind. The Arsenale visitors are Foto: ICD ITKE IntCDC; University of Stuttgart
offered the spatial experience of a future-oriented, dematerialized architecture whose
elements can be produced on site of just a few kilogrammes of building material.
