             operating hours. At night, the system switches to growth-promoting wavelengths – an
             example of how functional and aesthetic aspects can go hand in hand. Sustainability,
             to us, means not only energy efficiency but also mindful resource use. Our approach
             follows the principles of a circular economy: all luminaires are modular, repairable
             and demountable. By avoiding adhesive connections and using single-type materials,
             components can easily be replaced or recycled. We collaborated with local manufac-
             turers to minimise transport distances and strengthen regional value creation. This
             conscious decision improved the project’s ecological footprint and increased trans-
             parency regarding material sourcing and production processes. Since there is no single
             “right” lighting mood for every situation, the lighting at Le big TamTam was deliberately
             designed to be dynamic: with various lighting scenarios, the space adapts to changing
             needs. A space with limited access to daylight should feel bright and open during the
             day – perfect for lunch with colleagues. In the evening, a warmer, dimmed lighting
             atmosphere sets the stage for relaxed gatherings. Our lighting design enhances the
             multifunctionality of the architecture and makes the space tangible at all times. It com-
             bines architectural quality, technical efficiency and emotional impact into a cohesive
             overall composition. Ensuring a high degree of flexibility was essential: the modular
             system allows for future adjustments – whether through changes in lighting moods or
             the reconfiguration of gastronomic areas. Light is not just a means to an end – it is an
             integral part of perception and architecture. With Le big TamTam, we have demonstra-
             ted how thoughtful lighting design can create both functional and emotional added
