had to be communicated to the executing companies on-site.
Interdisciplinary collaboration leads to success
In practice, this led to constructive, interdisciplinary collaboration during installation.
For all ceiling installations, the prescribed drilling depths had to be adhered to, as the
reinforced concrete slabs with thermal component activation cool and heat the buil-
ding. Planning and execution of the acoustic wall panelling were much simpler. The oak-
veneered slit panel absorbers, in conjunction with a 30 millimetre thick mineral wool
backfill, fulfil additional sound-absorbing requirements and, together with the baffles,
ensure excellent acoustics. Room acoustic calculations provided clear area specifications
in square metres, which were then planned room by room in terms of design and detail.
Some of these areas were integrated into large floor-to-ceiling built-in furniture or ceiling
skirts. As the upper restaurant level is temporarily also used for events and lectures, dif-
ferent acoustic requirements arise compared to regular use as a canteen and workspace.
Here, for example, a curtain made of heavy fabric serves as a room divider with additio-
nal absorbent properties. “Mint42 is not only the place to be for delicious food but also
for co-working, networking and exchanging ideas,” writes the client. Deckenspiegel • Reflected ceiling plan
