„Zurück zum Ursprung“ könnte das Motto der Revitalisierungsar-
beit des Kocanda-Kravsko-Komplexes lauten. Seit 2018 begleitet das
Team von original regional architecture (ORA) in zwei Bauabschnit-
ten die Umnutzung der Anlage: Als Gasthaus im Mittelalter erbaut,
wurde die Hofstruktur über die Jahrhunderte hinweg mehrfach
erweitert und erst als Posthalterei, dann als Keramikfabrik genutzt.
Heute bietet der Komplex wieder Raum für Reisende und Festgesell-
schaften, ohne allerdings seine bewegte Geschichte zu verstecken.

“Back to the roots” could be the motto of the revitalization work
on the Kocanda Kravsko complex. Since 2018, the team from Origi-
nal Regional Architecture (ORA) has been supporting the conversi-
on in two construction phases: built as an inn in the Middle Ages,
the courtyard structure has been extended several times over the
centuries and was first used as a postal station, then as a ceramics
factory. Today, the complex once again offers space for travellers
and festive parties, but without hiding its eventful history.
