Für Mediterraneo entwickelte Object Carpet ein völlig
neues Garn. Das Polmaterial des Teppichs besteht zu 100
Prozent aus recyceltem Polyester aus Industrie und Ver-
braucherabfällen. Das traditionelle, feine Verspinnen ver-
schiedener Garne verwandelt die für den Outdoorteppich
verwendeten Materialien in eine moderne Textur. Dieser
Produktionsprozess verleiht der Kollektion eine unerwar-
tete Note: Trotz seines robusten Aussehens, das an Rattan
erinnert, ist der Teppich erstaunlich geschmeidig und eig-
net sich ebenso gut für den Innenbereich. Das Design von
Matteo Thun und Antonio Rodriguez verkörpert einen mü-
helosen und puren mediterranen Charme.
The Object Carpet company has developed a completely
new yarn for Mediterraneo. The pile material of the carpet
consists of one hundred percent recycled polyester from
the industry and from post-consumer waste. The traditio-
nal, fine spinning of different yarns transforms the mate-
rial that is used for the outdoor carpet thus resulting in a
modern texture. This production process gives the collec-
tion an unexpected and pleasant touch: despite its robust
appearance, which is reminiscent of rattan, the carpet is
surprisingly supple and thus equally suitable for indoor
use. The design by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez
embodies an effortless and pure Mediterranean charm.
