D er klassische Frontalunterricht an Bildungseinrichtungen wird zu-
nehmend durch Gruppenarbeit und interdisziplinäre Arbeitsweisen
abgelöst. Daher geht es auch in Schulen mehr und mehr darum, flexible
Arbeitsplätze anzubieten. Möglichst variabel, modifizierbar und vielseitig
sollten die Lernutensilien in der heutigen Zeit sein. Der mobile Arbeits-
tisch Vagabond, den die schwedische Designerin Marie Oscarsson für die
Kinnarps-Marke Materia entworfen hat, bedient diese veränderten An -
forderungen. Ähnlich einer Werkbank finden an der höhenverstellbaren
Tischplatte mehrere Personen Platz. Auf diese Weise lässt es sich bequem
in Kleingruppen arbeiten und austauschen. Ergebnisse, Notizen oder
Skizzen können dabei mithilfe von Magneten am Gestell befestigt oder
direkt auf den seitlichen Memo-Boards festgehalten werden. Der Clou:
Durch die Rollen kann Vagabond je nach Bedarf im Raum bewegt und
damit auch zum Essplatz in Pausenräumen und Kantinen umfunktio niert
werden. Einhängbare Kastenelemente sowie die obere Mittelstrebe er-
möglichen darüber hinaus eine Ausstattung mit weiteren Arbeitsmateria-
lien, Lampen und Pflanzen. In Kombination mit dem Hocker Motus stei-
gert Oscarsson die flexible Arbeitsweise an dieser Stelle um eine weitere
Stufe. So erlaubt der leicht gewölbte, mit Stoff oder Leder bezogene Sitz
von Motus zugleich eine gerade und eine sattelähnliche Sitzposition. Die
intervallgebremsten Rollen dienen auch hier einer hohen Akti vität und
Mobilität. Die Gestelle beider Produkte sind verchromt oder pulverbe-
schichtet erhältlich und in acht Farben individuell kombinierbar. kg

T raditional teacher-centred teaching at educational institutions is in-
creasingly being replaced by group work and interdisciplinary wor-
king methods. Therefore, it is more and more important in schools to
also provide flexible workplaces. Therefore, learning equipment should
now be as variable, adaptable, and versatile as possible. The Vagabond
mobile worktable, designed by Swedish designer Marie Oscarsson for
Materia, a Kinnarps brand, responds to these changing requirements. Si-
milar to a workbench, several people have room at the height-adjustable
table. This makes it easy to work and exchange views in small groups.
Results, notes, or sketches can be attached to the frame using magnets
or directly written on the lateral notice boards. The highlight: thanks to
castors, Vagabond can be moved around the room and thus also serve
as a dining table in break rooms and canteens. Hook-in box elements
and the central rail at the top allow other working materials, lamps, and
plants to be added. In combination with the Motus stool, Oscarsson
adds another level of flexibility to the way people work. The slightly ar-
ched seat of Motus, covered with fabric or leather, allows an upright and
saddle-like sitting position. The interval-braked castors ensure high acti-
vity and mobility. The frames of both products are available as chrome-
plated or powder-coated versions and can be combined in eight colours.
