Fun House – Wohnen so ganz anders
Zu seinem 10. Jubiläum präsentiert das New Yorker Designer-Trio Alex Mustonen, Daniel
Arsham und Benjamin Porto im National Building Museum „Fun House“. Das erste
„gebaute Haus“ von Snarkitecture spielt ironisch mit den ikonografischen Merkmalen des
amerikanischen Vorstadthauses und dient als Inszenierungsfläche für zahlreiche vergan-
gene und neue Projekte des Studios im Grenzbereich zwischen Architektur, Kunst und
Design. Maria Cristina Didero aus Mailand kuratiert die interaktive Aus stellung in der
historischen Halle des NBM in Washington. Die Retrospektive geht bis zum 3. September
und bildet den Abschluß der diesjährigen Summer Block Party.
On the occasion of their 10th anniversary, the New York trio of designers Alex Mustonen,
Daniel Arsham and Benjamin Porto exhibited “Fun House” in the National Building
Museum. The first “built house” by Snarkitecture plays with iconographic features of North-
American suburban houses and serves as the staging platform for numerous past and new
projects of the studio in the border zone between architecture, art and design. Maria Cristina
Didero from Milan curated the exhibition in the hall of the NBM in Washington. The retro-
