Wie eine Muschel lässt sie sich öffnen und schließen: The
Clam – eine Pendelleuchte aus mundgeblasenem Opal-
glas – kann ihre Lichtquelle entweder preisgeben oder ge-
heimnisvoll verbergen. Ein interner Diffusor erzeugt auch
in geöffnetem Zustand blendfreies Licht. Der Schließme-
chanismus erfolgt von Hand über einen filigranen Mes-
singknopf, der von alten Gaslampen inspiriert ist und die
genaue Anpassung der Lichtstimmung ermöglicht. Der ele-
gante und zeitlose Entwurf mit Potenzial zum Klassiker
stammt von den jungen Kopenhagener Designerinnen Isa-
bel Ahm und Signe Lund und wurde bereits im dänischen
Wettbewerb „Denmark's Next Classic“ ausgezeichnet.
