D ie gern propagierte Idee des New Work, des kommunikativen Arbeitens in Groß-
raumbüros, scheint auf den ersten Blick kaum mit der ernsthaften Seriosität und
der notwendigen Intimität einer Rechtanwaltskanzlei vereinbar. Vertrauliche Gespräche
und konzentriertes Arbeiten finden in der Stuttgarter Rechtsanwaltskanzlei Menold Bezler
allerdings nach wie vor in den bestehenden Einzelbüros statt. Neu sind die auf den sechs
Bürogeschossen mittig angeordneten Kommunikationszonen, die je nach Etage unter-
schiedlichen Farbcodes folgen. Studio Komo Innenarchitekten haben die erfrischend bun-
ten New-Work-Zonen so angelegt, dass sie eine Option zum zurückgezogenen Arbeiten
am eigenen Schreibtisch bieten. Die Bürotüren stehen meist offen, bei Bedarf treffen sich
die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter an Lounge, Stehtisch und Besprechungsbox – farbige
Kreise an der Decke markieren den gemeinsamen Kommunikationsbereich. Der Bespre-
chungstisch ist das zentrale Element, die Sitzbank fungiert mit ihrer Rückenlehne zusätz-
lich als Steharbeitsplatz, und die Arena lädt ein zum schnellen Meeting in ungezwungener
Kaffeetrinkerpose. Eine zwanglose Alternative zum eigenen Büro stellt der Steharbeits-
platz dar: Das Beleuchtungskonzept sorgt für eine bestmögliche Arbeitssituation, Textilien
für angenehme Akustik und Behaglichkeit und integrierte Steckdosen für das problemlose
Laden von Smartphone- oder Laptop-Akkus – alles zusammen sorgt für gute Laune!
A t first glance, the often advocated idea of New Work, collaborative work in open-
plan offices, seems hardly compatible with the serious professionalism and neces-
sary intimacy of a law firm. However, in the Menold Bezler law firm in Stuttgart, confiden-
tial discussions and focused work continue to take place in the existing individual offices.
What’s new are the centrally located communication zones on the six office floors, each
following different colour codes depending on the floor. Studio Komo Innenarchitekten
have designed these refreshingly colourful New Work zones to provide an alternative to
working in seclusion at one’s own desk. The office doors are usually open, and if needed,
employees can meet in the lounge, at the bar table and in a meeting box – coloured
circles on the ceiling mark the shared communication area. The conference table is the
central element, the bench with a backrest serves as an additional stand-up workstation,
and the arena invites for a quick meeting in a casual coffee-drinking pose. A casual alter-
native to the individual office is the stand-up workstation: The lighting concept ensures
the best possible working conditions, textiles contribute to pleasant acoustics and com-
fort, and integrated power outlets allow for the easy charging of smartphone or laptop
batteries – all combined, they put everyone in a good.
