D ie Denkmalpflege beschreibt den neobarocken Gebäudekomplex als „spätwilhel-
minische Prachtarchitektur, die den Status des Rechts und des Staates nach außen
zeigen sollte“. Ein passender Rahmen für den inzwischen 17. Standort einer international
renommierten Anwaltskanzlei. Nach drei erfolgreichen Projekten an den anderen deut-
schen Kanzleistandorten wurde Studio Katharina Korinth auch mit der Gestaltung des
1500 Quadratmeter großen Büros in Düsseldorf beauftragt. Es befindet sich in einzigarti-
ger Lage im ehemaligen Landgericht, das von 1913 bis 1923 nach Plänen des Architekten
Felix Dechant erbaut wurde und heute unter Denkmalschutz steht. Seit 2017 ist dort das
Andreas-Quartier mit einer Mischung aus Wohnen, Gastronomie, Büro und Gewerbe ent-
standen. Die lebendige Innenraumgestaltung hebt die starke Historie des Gebäudes hervor
und schafft dynamische, moderne Arbeitsplätze. Einen spannenden Kontrast zum restau-
rierten Gebäude mit seinen massiven Wänden und Türen mit traditionellen Steinlaibungen
bildet das außergewöhnlich frische Farb- und Materialkonzept – das kräftige Blau nimmt
Bezug auf die originale Farbgestaltung der Eingangshalle. Dank optimierter Grundrisse und
maßgefertigter Möbelstücke sind private Büroräume, ein einladender Empfangsbereich,
flexible Meetingräume, die Küche mit Gemeinschaftsbereich, Think Tanks für konzentrier-
tes Arbeiten und Videomeetings sowie ein Open-Office Bereich entstanden.

T he monument preservation authorities describe the neo-baroque building complex
as “late-Wilhelminian splendid architecture intended to show the status of the law
and the state to the outside world”. A fitting setting for what is now the 17 location of an
th
internationally renowned law firm. After three successful projects at the other German
locations, Studio Katharina Korinth was also commissioned to design the 1,500 squa-
re-metre office in Düsseldorf. It is uniquely located in the former district court from 1913 to
1923 according to plans by architect Felix Dechant and now a listed building. Since 2017,
the Andreas Quarter has been developed there with a mix of residential-, restaurant-,
office- and commercial space. The lively interior design highlights the building’s strong
history and creates dynamic, modern workplaces. An exciting contrast to the restored
building with its massive walls and doors with traditional stone reveals is provided by
the exceptionally fresh colour- and material concept – the strong blue refers to the original
colour of the entrance hall. Thanks to optimized floor plans and custom-made furniture
pieces, private office spaces, an inviting reception area, flexible meeting rooms, a kitchen
with a communal area, think tanks for concentrated work and video meetings, and an
open-office area have been created.
