Gastronomie mit Mut und Phantasie

Dass sich die Pandemielage zu stabilisieren scheint, hat nicht wenigen Gastronomen Mut
gemacht, in neue Räume und Konzepte zu investieren. In Stuttgart wurden in den letzten
Wochen so viele spannende Locations eröffnet wie selten zuvor. Im Erdgeschoss des Hotels
EmiLu (siehe nächste Seite) und für das Team der gegenüberliegenden Tatti-Bar konnte
Architekt Iassen Markov die Bar Gian Paolo e Marco (1, 2) realisieren. O-Ton Markov: „Aus
einem blauen See am Boden der Bar wächst ein Vulkan aus rotem Stein, der eine überdi-
mensionierte Wolke aus Marmor durchbricht. Die Wolke wird von oben wie von einem
Sonnenstrahl getroffen – symbolisiert durch eine verspiegelte Säule.“ Very stylish! ps

That the situation with the pandemic appears to stabilize has encouraged restaurateurs
to invest in new rooms and concepts. In Stuttgart, in recent weeks as many exciting lo-
cations have been opened as seldom before. On the ground floor of the EmiLu hotel (see
next page) and for the team of the Tatti bar opposite, architect Iassen Markov designed
the Gian Paolo e Marco bar. Markov explains: “Out of a blue lake on the bar floor rises a
volcano of red stone that breaks through a marble cloud. The cloud is hit from above as 2
if by a ray of sunshine – symbolized by a mirrored column.” Very stylish!
