werter Gedanke. Doch dass ein strategisches Design das Büro- und

Arbeitsklima verbessern kann, ist kein Wunsch denken. Während wir als
Kinder unsere Erfahrungen mit Bauklötzen und dem Baukastensystem ge -
macht haben, gehört die Modulbauweise in der Architektur schon lange
zur gängigen Praxis. Für sein neues Möbelsystem nutzt der deutsche Büro -
möbelhersteller nun ebenfalls die Vorteile des modularen Systems. Einzel -
ne Elemente lassen sich individuell kombinieren und ergeben zu gleich ein
stimmiges Ganzes mit farblichen Akzenten. In diesem Zusammenhang
übernehmen die vertikalen und horizontalen Kabelkanäle sowie modifi-
zierbare Pa neele eine wichtige Rolle. Letztere können die Arbeitsbereiche
akustisch und visuell voneinander trennen und unterstreichen in verschie-
denen Aus führungen – vollflächig oder als Metall verstrebung – die Indi -
vidualität des Arbeitsplatzes. Sie bieten die Möglichkeit für die Befestigung
von Elementen wie Stifte-Boxen, Ablage fächern, magnetischen Pinnwän -
den oder Kopfhörer-Halte rungen. Die variablen Kabelkanälen er lauben
die flexible Höheneinstellung der Tische sowie die Option einer schnellen
und be darfsorientierten Umgestaltung. So wird der Sitz-Schreibtisch zum
Steh tisch und der Einzelarbeitsplatz zur Team fläche. Re galsysteme ergän-
zen – offen oder geschlossen, als halbhoher Stauraum mit integrierter
Sitzbank oder als Verlänge rung der Arbeits fläche – die Möbelreihe und

Yet that a strategic design is able to improve the office- and working

atmosphere is definitely not just a pipedream. While we, as children, gai-
ned experience with toy blocks and the modular system, in architecture
modular design has long been part of common practice. For the new fur-
niture system, the German manufacturer of office furniture is now likewise
taking advantage of the modular design. Separate elements can be indivi-
dually combined and, at the same time, produce a consistent overall look
with colour accents. In this context, the vertical and the horizontal cable
ducts as well as panels that can be modified play an important role. The
panels are able to acoustically and visually separate work areas from each
other and, in different variants – as solid components or as metal braces –
increase the individuality of the workstation. They offer the option of atta-
ching elements such as pencil boxes, storage compartments, magnetic pin
boards or headset holders. The variable cable ducts allow the flexible
height adjustment of the desks as well as the option of a quick and needs-
oriented rearrangement. Thus the sitting desk becomes a high desk and
the single workstation a team area. Shelf systems – open or closed, as sto-
rage spaces at half height with integrated seating benches or as an exten-
sion of the work surface – complement the furniture range and also serve
to produce zones in spacious offices areas.
